Happy New Year 2014!!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to the loves of my life! Missing you and always in my heart! xo

Remember Me ~ Jo H. from Halifax sends her love!

A beautiful poem from my dear friend Jo H., written for my sweet wiggle bum

Remember Me…
Remember me now that I am gone, remember the life I led…
Look back on our times shared with a smile and, I know you will get there…
Remember my ears.
My wiggly bum.
My antics (your laughter because of them).
My devotion to you and, your devotion to me.
Remember me…
On your head.
In your arms.
Most of all…
Remember the love.
The care.
The affection.
The fun.
Family always remembers…
I know, you will remember me and…
As long as you remember, I will always be with you…
I love you.

Natasha ~ October 31, 2006 – Rest In Peace my precious buddy – December 12, 2013

You came to me as a sick little maine coon kitten. We brought you back to good health and you showered us with unconditional love. While undergoing chemo for my leukemia, you kept my bald head warm with your silken fur and many purrs. You brightened our lives with many giggles as you displayed your mischievous side. You were family, a part of our family and we loved you so.  It was time for us to say goodbye even though you were a young 7 years. Our hearts are heavy and our tears are fierce. You put up a good fight but I was there holding you in my arms until the end. You are now at Rainbow Bridge chasing butterflies and reconnecting with our other felines. You were my “wiggle bum” as you strutted your beautiful physic and wagging that tail of yours. You have left your paw print on our hearts. Boris misses you too. I miss you too and I love you, you were ‘my gal’. xoxox Rest in peace, beautiful Natasha. xo

Some things are better left in the past… let that ship sail into the sunset!!

Hope you enjoy your 11th birthday ~ loving you always xo forever in my heart xo

“Study me as much as you like, you will never know Me,
for I differ a hundred ways from what you see me to be.
Put yourself behind my eyes, and see me as I see myself,
For I have chose to dwell in a place you cannot see.”

Happy 7th Birthday, Megan

I hope you have a fun filled day and lots of giggles….I love you! xo

“Why?” powerful words to ponder about!!

This is the book I never read
These are the words I never said
This is the path I’ll never tread
These are the dreams I’ll dream instead
This is the joy that’s seldom spread
These are the tears…
The tears I shed
This is the fear
This is the dread
These are the contents of my head
And these are the years that we have spent
And this is what they represent
And this is how I feel
Do you know how I feel ?
’cause i don’t think you know how I feel
You don’t know what I feel

June 6, 2013 A new review for The Ashes of Innocence

“The Ashes of Innocence” is an inspiring biography. Reading the pages of “Ashes”evoked in me a wide variety of emotions. Compassion for a precocious child from a shattered home with an unloving mother and a brutal step-father whose only escape was an image of an absent father. Alexandra took me on a courageous journey past loneliness and fear to acceptance and love. Bravo Alexandra! – You have saved your own life.
A must read.
